Visit the abbey of Bornem at your own pace. Visits are possible every Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM during the high season (from Easter to the last weekend of September).
We also welcome visitors during our events and temporary exhibitions. Check our webshop for more details about our activities and availability.

Walk-in tours
During the months of July, August and September, you can join one of our a guided walk-in tours. We offer these tours on Saturdays and Sundays.(*) Walk-in tours start at 2:00 PM at our reception. A professional guide will take you on a 1,5h tour, introducing you to the building, the art collection and many fascinating stories.
* no walk-in tours during the second weekend of Augustus (closed due to the 100km Dodentocht Bornem).

An inclusive museum experience for everyone!
The abbey of Bornem is a unique, inclusive museum that is also designed for the blind, visually impaired, deaf, and hard of hearing.
In the abbey you will find an innovative setup that combines tactile elements, tactile plates, sound, and scent evocation with a specially developed audio guide or guidance by a sign language guide. Thanks to the advanced beacon technology of FARO's heritage app, visitors automatically receive notifications at special points of interest within the Abbey.

A family friendly museum
We ensure that families with children can also fully enjoy their visit. We offer an activity pack at the reception, which helps you to discover the abbey together, in an interactive way.
