Abbates is set in the Abbey of Bornem. You take on the role of an abbot and walk through the museum with the goal of collecting centuries-old books, valuable art objects, and stained-glass windows.
The gameplay is entirely unique and fun for both beginners (with only the basic rules) and experienced players who enjoy a tactical game. There are many variables that keep every game exciting.
All the elements you encounter in the game are present in the abbey, and you can see most of the art treasures with your own eyes during a visit to the abbey.
